Recently, we said farewell to our generalist Leslie as she pursues other endeavors. Her last day was December 2nd, and we celebrated by having snacks, visiting, and letting her know how appreciated she is at the Clubhouse. Leslie has been a valuable asset to our staff team, especially in the CAB unit, and we wish her well as she starts this new chapter of her life. I interviewed Clubhouse members Carla, Gel, and Andrew about their fun memories and experiences with Leslie during her time at the Cora Dale House.

Carla stated that Leslie was a joy to work with and was always happy. She specifically remembers going to the coalition meeting with Leslie and staying the night at an Airbnb. She said that they had a wonderful time, went out for dinner, and laughed a lot. Gel stated that her and Leslie just clicked and worked together seamlessly. “Leslie was one of my go-to people” Gel reminisces. According to Andrew Borntrager, “Leslie was very down-to-earth and real. I never felt like I was interacting with a superior—she felt like an equal. I enjoyed my time working with her.” Leslie will certainly be missed in the Cora Dale community.

We are now in the process of hiring a new generalist in hopes of continuing our awesome work. Be sure to follow the Cora Dale House Facebook page for updates!
