Member Spotlight: Sean McGoff

Sean McGoff has been a colleague here at Cora Dale House since September of 2023. Sean moved to Indiana from Pittsburgh. He heard about Cora Dale House from his probation officer and decided to attend.

Sean likes that at Clubhouse, he can have a space to calm down, given that everything else is noisy. He enjoys being a part of the community. He says people are there for each other when needed, and he feels free to be himself. He enjoys helping by cleaning the bathroom. Clubhouse has helped him become more social and outgoing and meet new people.

Sean knows how to play guitar, piano, and drums. His passion for music originated from the 80s-90s rock music his mom introduced him to. The music inspired him to pick up the guitar and learn on his own. Gel states, “He can listen to any song and play it note for note.” Sean occasionally plays at the Clubhouse, but tries to be respectful and play quietly. He mostly incorporates music on holidays. Sean’s favorite color is purple. His fondest memory at the clubhouse is spending the holidays with colleagues and family and going to the Gala. He would recommend Clubhouse because it’s a safe place to be during the day, and everyone is welcomed

and treated with respect and love.
