Eight colleagues from Cora Dale House had the incredible opportunity to attend the Clubhouse World Seminar in St. Pete Beach, Florida, from May 9–14. The event brought together Clubhouse colleagues from around the globe, offering a week of
learning, inspiration, and connection.
Our team attended various workshops, each bringing back valuable insights:
Bea focused on education and employment, emphasizing the importance of building strong relationships—both within the Clubhouse and in the community—to open up opportunities and resources.
Delilah attended a session on sharing member stories, highlighting the power of connection and recognizing shared experiences.
Erich and Rich explored the roles of Clubhouse directors and leadership transitions, enjoying productive discussions with fellow leaders. Erich returned with plenty of new ideas.
Holly learned strategies to maintain strong ties with TE employment partners, like sending follow-up messages, newsletters, or small gifts to show appreciation.
Brian appreciated hearing about the founding of other Clubhouses, noting how similar their stories were to ours, despite different settings.
Mindy attended a session that focused on strengthening the work ordered day and going back to the basics of Clubhouse standard fundamentals. Mindy enjoyed making connections with staff and members. from other Clubhouses.
We are grateful to the Florida Clubhouse Coalition and Clubhouse International for hosting such a valuable and energizing event. We're excited to bring what we've learned back to Cora Dale House and keep growing together.
