It was a cold Saturday evening when colleagues began to arrive at the Cora Dale house. Upon arrival, each participant was assigned a character—from a famous concert violinist up to the wife of the murdered. Each character drew a number. The last one had an X, which signified they were the murderer.
To set us up, we read the story line—the Lord of the Manor, Heathcliff, had been murdered by one of his guests. Not wanting to be accused, the guest has to investigate who had done it by asking a set of questions in each of the three acts. As each question is asked, we learn new scandalous information, making it hard to guess who the murderer truly was. After all the acts, people cast their votes on who they thought the murderer was, most believing it was Bea. In reality, the murderer Corey had done it—he killed the lord of the house in pursuit of his dream job as a Formula 3 racer.
We also gave three awards out: best acting, best adlibs, and best costume. David Koppana received the best acting award for his exquisite French accent (oui oui). Greg Wadell won best adlibs as he would make silly, goofy comments when questioning other guests. Finally, Molly, daughter of a member, won for best costume, as she had a beautiful blue dress and accessories to compliment it.
